Temporarilly showing how Nikonians can easily adapt an existing normal
Nikon F5 ‘s 8 cell  in to a 9 cell arrangement.
In these pics a cell of non matching capacity & of diff colour is used here in
Order to show which is the ‘extra’ cell.
The Green wire twist is a simple lashing  that keeps the cell’s board firmly in
place at one end. This means there’s no extra bulk around the cell which
could prevent the battery pack sliding smoothly back into the F5’s base.

The last pic ( bottom of page) shows how two very thin
( insulated from each other_ contacts insert between 2 cells under the pack.
Using rechargeabls Ni MH cells there is no need to unclip cells to charge,
Just recharge the whole as a pack, like charging model racing cars is done.
